Marina Azzurra Resort
Gently lying on the banks of the river Tagliamento, in a lush, secluded cove just besides the zoological park Parco Zoo Punta Verde, only 2,500 metres away from the beach and from Lignano Sabbiadoro’s town centre, Marina Azzurra Resort – a new and innovative project by Europa Tourist Group – is rising.
A tourist complex made up of Floating Chalets, drawing inspiration from the Dutch and Canadian floating villages, which will offer our guests a truly unique holiday, sweetly lulled by the gentle murmur of the waves and the chirping of the birds, but with all the added comforts of a modern resort: chalets up to 6 beds, a kitchenette equipped with hot plates and microwave oven, bathroom with shower box, fully air-conditioned and with Sat TV. Inside the resort you will also find sports facilities, a swimming pool, a restaurant, bicycles available for all guests
and gazebos complete with barbecue, which will make Marina Azzurra a true oasis of peace and relax.
HOUSEBOAT
The houseboats’ structure draws inspiration from the Casoni, typical homes of the Upper Adriatic’s lagoon fishermen, with a sloping roof made of reeds placed upon wooden rafters and strung together in the form of a basket.
The houseboats in Marina Azzurra Resort have a total internal surface of 65 m² (disposed on two levels) plus a 18 m² balcony, and can host up to 6 people.
From the 6.5 m² balcony on the lower deck you can access a small living room with double sleeping couch, a double bedroom with wardrobe, a twin bedroom, an ample bathroom with a large shower box and a cabinet. A stair leads to the upper deck, where you will find a dining room equipped with a kitchenette made of glass-ceramics, complete with accessories and flatware. The living area is connected to a 12 m² habitable balcony covered by an awning, just the perfect place for a dinner under the stars, or where you can sunbathe or read a book.The houseboats, completely furnished using made-in-Italy wood, are equipped with all modern commodities: Sat TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and mosquito nets in every room.
Marina Azzurra Resort is composed of 29 houseboats docked on the pier and of 59 houseboats safely docked along the banks of the river Tagliamento, easily accessible via wharfs made out of exotic wood. The pier, immersed in a uniquely relaxing natural context, is the ideal choice for those who wish to spend their vacation in symbiosis with the
flow of river Tagliamento, surrounded by the green and blue colours of the lagoon. Let yourself be lulled into sleep by the relaxing flow of the waves and from the fresh, regenerating river breeze, which will fill your soul with emotions never felt before.
All those who wish to experience the emotion of living on a houseboat, but without giving up on all comforts of a modern chalet, can choose among the 76 houseboats docked in the shallows of the dry marina.
CLUBHOUSE
Marina Azzurra Resort’s Clubhouse is a floating ferry divided on three levels. On the two lower, covered floors you will find the scrumptious breakfast and dinner buffet, also offering takeaway service, so guests can enjoy their meals directly on their houseboat. On the open upper deck is a lounge bar with musical entertainment, from which you can admire the fading daylight or the starlit sky. After breakfast, the ferry can set sail for an exclusive excursion up the river, allowing for a visit to the historical city centre of Latisana, with its Neo-classic style cathedral, or to sample some prized wines from the Friulian cellars. A relaxing lunch on board will make navigation a truly
unique experience.
SWIMMING POOL PARK
The Pool Park is composed of a swimming pool for adults, one equipped with water slides for children and a wellness area. Take a nap on the poolside deck-chairs and sun beds, or relax in one of the hot tubs, or enjoy a great cervical massage under the artificial waterfalls.
SPORTS & FUN
A bocce court, a beach volley court on sand, a tennis court and a multi-purpose synthetic court (five-a-side football, volleyball and basketball), are the perfect stage for the socialisation of youth and the sports tournaments. The smaller kids can also have their fun in total safety, thanks to a sandbox playground in the shade equipped with theme rides.
ELECTRIC BOATS
For the most daring guests, or for those who want to explore the beauty of the lagoon, Marina Azzurra Resort offers an electric boat rental service, € 50/day for a boat for 6-7 people – upon request and subject to availability.
