The Tour of Italy is back in Bibione after the last time, it means 16 years ago in 2000, with the individual time trial Lignano-Bibione, won by Víctor Hugo Peña. Tracing the history of the Tour of Italy in 1971 the first stage arrival in Bibione won by Patrick Sercu, followed in 1981, won by Guido Bontempi and with the team time trial Lignano-Bibione, won by Hoonved. Instead in 1994 the winner was Ján Svorada.
The Noale-Bibione long 168 km will take place on May 19th and will represent the 12th stage of this Tour 2016.
Bibione has always been known for its sporting events held every year and its beautiful scenery, so we are sure that there will be several side events to celebrate the two wheels and pink jersey lovers. Let’s recall the presence of the bike path "between the green pine forest and the blue sea" in addition, to nearly 70 kilometers of hinterland to explore by bicycle.
